Hello, it’s Roger. I had a birthday this week. A birthday is when people gather around you, wave their arms, and sing very, very badly. I’m very grateful that I don’t have a birthday every day because Big Boss, Bald Boss, and Boy Boss have voices that sound like a floor creaking when an elephant walks into the room. Actually, I’ve never met an elephant, but I’d like to. I love elephants’ ears! But I don’t think elephants would like their ears when they have to listen to people sing to them on their birthdays.
This is a picture of elephants and their ears.
Now, where was I? That’s right, I was telling you about Big Boss, Bald Boss, and Boy Boss and how badly they sing. Put yourself in my paws (and ears!) and listen to this: ‘Happee birthday to U. Happee birthday to U. Hap-pee birth-day dear Ro-O-JAAAAAAAAA. Happee birthday to UUUUUUUUU!’ Goodness, it gave me a headache and I had to spend the rest of the day sleeping with my head on Bald Boss’s thingo that his fingers tap all the time. He says it’s a laptop. But that’s wrong because I’m the only laptop in this house. Bald Boss tells me all the time that I’m a laptop. He says: ‘Roger, look at you being a laptop.’
This is a picture of me being a laptop.
All these memories of my birthday are making me tired. I’m not as young as I used to be.
I need a sleep.
Wags from afar,
Roger.
