The sign says

Sometimes it can be hard to come up with story ideas, but here’s a tip: ideas pop up in the most unusual of places, and at the most unexpected of times. Plus, your ideas can be triggered by things that you’ve never really thought too much about; however, when you do start thinking about them, you never know just what just might happen. These exercises are for everyone, although they might really appeal to those of you in rural areas. Here are a few tasks you might wish to try after watching this clip:
- Arrange some of the signs into an order that can tell a story. (If you arrange them all you are totes amazing!)
- Choose one or a small number of signs to help you develop a story. The story can be about the signs, or the signs may just be used to prompt other ideas, such as you finding a thirsty koala by the side of the road, or your family getting a flay tyre on a trip to the middle of nowhere.
- Write down what some of the signs mean to you. Are they just signs, or do they mean something more to you?
- Work as a group to tell an impromptu story using as many signs as you can.
- Go and take pictures of other signs that might interest you, and then tell a story about them.
- Invent your own exercise.
- Have fun!
